TPL means Third Party Liability. When you have been involved in an accident/injury, through the fault of another party, you need to file a claim.
Your Member Service Agreement contains a clause stating that treatment rendered because of an injury caused by another party which results in a financial recovery to you is reimbursable to the Health Plan. Reimbursement of such services contributes to the affordability of Kaiser Permanente.
Our TPL coordinator understands your frustration and struggles and she would like to provide a form and a set of questions to help you focus on what you need to do to file a claim effectively and efficiently.
You MUST be an active Kaiser member when the accident happened.
