How to Use My Home Page...

My Biography

Kaiser Permanente’s Dermatology department has close ties to my institution of training, the University of California at San Francisco. The department has a stellar reputation, collegial, supportive colleagues, and committed staff members. We serve a diverse population in an urban, cosmopolitan setting. The medical center is also in close proximity to my home.

Kaiser’s integrated health care model is comprehensive: it is all-inclusive, like an all-you-can-eat buffet. No procedure, consultation, or treatment has to be pre-approved, and patients need not reach outside of the system to get lab work completed, see a specialist, or obtain a referral. As a clinician who holds certifications in both pediatrics and dermatology, I have particular interests in pediatric dermatology.

I keep active and well through a regimen of regular exercise, and through healthy eating habits. Hobbies include watching Notre Dame football and Stanford basketball. Mostly, though, I hang out with my family and take care of and play with my two small children.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
