Welcome to My Home Page!

My Practice Philosophy: My philosophy is a mission to benefit my patients and the larger community by caring, educating, and discovering. My commitment is to excellence including quality, service, and state-of-the-art technology.

Description of Specialty/Why I chose it: In addition to General Obstetrics and Gynecology practice, I have specialty training in advance Laparoendoscopic surgery for extensive endometriosis, infertility, and fibroids. I choose this specialty because it allows me to identify a problem, surgically restore anatomy, and improve pain relief or fertility for the patient. Ultimately with a team effort, the patient will acquire control of her life once more.

Year Started With TPMG: November 2004 as a pool physician and May of 2005 as a career physician

Reasons why I like practicing medicine in KP: Organization and coordination of medical care, and physician collaboration that allow physicians focus on patients' heathcare over financial matters

Professional Interests and Affiliations: I am affiliated with Stanford University Medical Center as Adjunct Clinical Faculty. My primary training goal of interest is improving patient care and to teach advanced endoscopic operative skills with Dr. Camran Nezhat to individuals who are interested in propagating the field of endoscopic pelvic surgery. A secondary goal is to contribute new knowledge about learning and teaching with advanced surgical trainers.

Personal History I am originally from New Mexico. I did my undergraduate degree at New Mexico State University, medical school at University of New Mexico, and residency at Texas Tech University. My Laparoendoscopic fellowship was done at Stanford University.

My Credentials

Medical school University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Albuquerque, NM
Residency Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, El Paso, TX

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
