My goal as your Pediatrician will be to provide you and your family with Quality, compassionate health care. I am strongly committed to giving patients and families the tools they need to raise healthy, happy, well adjusted children by providing preventive health strategies such as healthier eating habits, regular exercise and routine heath care maintenance. At the end of each day, I want to go home knowing that I have provided my patients with the best care possible. If I can change one child’s life to be a healthier one, I have achieved a huge personal and professional goal. Being raised in a large family, I believe that we all must share in the responsibility of keeping our families healthy, and this starts from the very beginning.

Before joining the excellent team of Physicians at The Permanente Medical Group, I spent 14 years in the United States Navy going to Medical School, obtaining my Pediatric Residency training and caring for the children of service men and women. I was privileged to serve in Bethesda, Maryland, Okinawa, Japan and eventually ended up in the Bay Area at Alameda, Treasure Island and the Naval Hospital in Oakland.

I have a special interest in Pediatric Dermatology, and Pediatric Asthma. I am currently Chairperson of the Northern California Pediatric Asthma Interest Group. I have been an Instructor for Pediatric Advanced Life Support for the past ten years, and I also serve on the San Mateo County Committee for Emergency Medical Services for Children. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society.

In my time away from the office, I enjoy gourmet cooking, gardening, travel, road bike riding, and staying healthy through regular exercise.

I advise all my patients to try and have their immunization records on hand during well care visits. If you have any records from a previous Health Care Professional, I would like to have the opportunity to review those prior to our visit. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Please call to make an appointment prior to arriving in the clinic, as we do not have appointments available for walk-in patients.

Our goal at Kaiser Permanente is to be your health plan of choice and deliver the quality medical care our members deserve. Thank you again for choosing Kaiser Permanente.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
