My Profession

Primary Care and Adult Medicine has been home for me for a long time. As a medical officer in the US Army, I enjoyed General Medicine. Seeing patients in the clinics, delivering medical care in the field during military exercises, and airlifting patients to nearby tertiary care medical centers was very exciting and rewarding.

My Credentials

Medical school Albany Medical College, Albany, NY
Internship University Medical Center (UCSF Program), Fresno, CA
Residency St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

My Practice Philosophy

Lifestyle choices are the most important factors I would like you to concentrate on. Remember, you only get your body once. It doesn’t come with any spare parts!! Whatever lifestyle, diet, and food choices you may make, will affect your body for the rest of your life.

Enjoy your life! Live it to the fullest! But do it responsibly. I am here with you every step of the way. Whichever choices you make or advice you need, I am here to guide you through them. Together we can sit and talk and devise a health plan customized to your health and lifestyle needs.

My Tenure With TPMG

I have been with Kaiser for the last 2 years at the Point West Facility in Sacramento.

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

I am attracted to Kaiser for the following reasons:

  1. Kaiser gives freedom to its physicians in making medical decisions. I can decide what is best for my patients - a decision that is based on medical knowledge and clinical practice. More importantly, it’s not a decision that is made by medical administration. This is rare in today’s world of managed care.
  2. Kaiser is committed to its members. Kaiser makes the transition easy for its new members by services provided through Member Services and establishing with new providers. A wide diversity of options are offered to members ranging from traditional to alternative medicines like acupuncture. Chronic conditions are monitored closely with reminder letters for past due labs and tests. Pharmacists and health educators work closely with physicians in providing a multidisciplinary approach to chronic conditions.

My Professional Interests and Affiliations

I am currently a member of the American College of Physicians, The American Medical Association and Sierra Valley Medical Society.

My Personal History

I served as a General Medical Officer in the US Army while stationed at Fort Irwin, California.
