About me
I feel very lucky to be back in the Bay Area with its wonderful diversity of people, culture and food. I spent the last four years in Hershey, PA in medical school at Penn State College of Medicine (where it frequently does smell like chocolate).

I was born at Kaiser Oakland hospital, and my family still lives in the Bay Area. I grew up in the East Bay and went to college at the University of California, Los Angeles where I majored in neuroscience. I switched coasts for medical school and experienced for the first time four real seasons. While I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and learned about local Pennsylvania Dutch delicacies such as "shoo-fly pie," I am happy to be back home. I loved the fall colors, but I won't miss digging my car out of the snow in the winter.

In medical school, obstetrics and gynecology was the field I enjoyed the most and I chose it as my specialty. Our field is unique in that we can not only provide a life-long continuity of care to our patients but also offer immediate interventions to help our patients with their more serious medical needs. I am excited to have the opportunity to form long-lasting relationships with my patients and I am happy to be back at Kaiser Oakland as an Obstetrician and Gynecology resident.

Interests: In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially with a delicious meal, reading novels, and keeping up with the latest news in college basketball and the NBA. Go Bruins!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
