Welcome to My Home Page !
I joined the Kaiser Fresno Medical Group in 1994 as its first and only rheumatologist. Those who share my "arthritis humor" would say that it has definitely been a "JOINT venture". As a native Fresnan, I am committed to providing unparalleled service to my patients in the Fresno area. Rheumatology is an exciting field with many new approaches and therapies to treat longstanding, chronic conditions. If you have such a need, please come visit me.
On a personal note, I spend much of my spare time shepherding my three children through their various school, sports and church related activities. (I try to fit some sleep in between that and work!) You can find me cheering on the Fresno Grizzlies and San Francisco Giants. I am a true baseball (and just about any other sport) fan, so come by and discuss the latest goings-on from the sports pages. My father, Dr. Walter Fung, practiced for over 40 years in Fresno, and many of you have had the good fortune to be under his care previously. He certainly has been a role model for me. It is a pleasure to have been able to return to my hometown to practice medicine at Kaiser Permanente.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
