About Me

I was born and grew up in Michigan, attended college and medical school at the University of Arizona, and did my post graduate residency training at Stanford. I have lived in Sacramento since 1993. I enjoy reading and going to the gym. For more information on my education, training, and credentials, please read the My Credentials section below.

My Healthcare Practice

A doctor in my specialty focuses on restoring function after an orthopedic illness or injury. I chose my specialty because I enjoy the hands on approach to diagnosis and treatment. I believe in helping the patient help him or herself. I strongly advocate education and therapeutic exercise in the process of rehabilitating from an illness or injury.

Receiving Your Healthcare From Kaiser Permanente

I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 1993. I enjoy the relative autonomy and collegial atmosphere that practicing at Kaiser Permanente brings.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
