Greetings! Welcome to my Home Page!

I am a staff physician at the Emergency Department of Kaiser Permanente Manteca Medical Center. I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding department and the medical group here at Kaiser Permanente Stockton, Manteca, Modesto and Tracy. I hope that we can always provide high quality of care and service to you.

About Me

I was born and raised in California, and I wanted to remain here to practice medicine and be close to my family. I decided to become a doctor when I was twelve years old through the acquaintance of my childhood friend’s father and our ensuing discussions and mutual interests in science and mathematics.

I received my medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI. Then, I completed an internship and my residency at San Joaquin General Hospital, French Camp. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine.

I have a large scope of interests outside of medicine including anything to do with the environment and wildlife, physics and current scientific developments, skiing, good food, wine and travel.

I had a private practice in internal medicine in Tracy, CA for three years in the late 1980’s. In 1990, I began a career as an emergency medicine physician. I have worked at many of the local valley hospitals both as a private contractor and also as a member of several emergency physician groups. I first worked for Kaiser Permanente in the Dameron Hospital Emergency Department for four years in the late 1990’s. I joined the Emergency Department staff at St. Dominic’s Hospital in 2000. When Kaiser Permanente bought St. Dominic’s in November of 2004, I accepted the offer of being a full time Kaiser Permanente emergency physician.

My Philosophy of Care

I feel responsible to give my patients the best care I can provide and in return expect them to take the responsibility for making effort to make good personal health choices and attempt to educate themselves to this end.

Your comments and suggestions are always welcome.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
