My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I chose family medicine because I believe that as a family practitioner I am better able to treat people of all ages and cultural backgrounds.

My Practice Philosophy

Communication and education should be the cornerstone of a good physician-patient relationship. I believe it is our responsibility as primary care physicians to teach people about the disease process and to act as guides through the ever increasing complexity of modern medicine.

My Tenure With Kaiser Permanente

I have been working at Kaiser Permanente for 2 years. I chose to work at Kaiser Permanente because of the autonomy it allows me as a primary care physician but more importantly, Kaiser Permanente’s vast resources allow me to provide a higher quality of medical care to my patients.

On a Personal Note

In my spare time I enjoy bicycling on the American River trail and spending time with my new wife and our many pets (we have two dogs, two cats and a snake!).

Be sure to visit the Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
