My Qualifications

I received my medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed my internship and residency through UC Davis Medical Center. I then completed an academic fellowship through UC San Francisco and UC Davis which gave me experience teaching medical students and residents. I was trained in community oriented primary care, a discipline that helps identify and organize steps in meeting the medical/social needs of a specific community.

Receiving Your Healthcare From Kaiser Permanente

As a resident, I was exposed to the Kaiser Permanente system and appreciated the quality of physician mentors. I joined Kaiser Permanente in Southern California in 1999 because I wanted to become a part of that exceptional group of highly trained individuals. Kaiser Permanente is selective in its choice of physicians and chooses the best physicians available. As a member, I have great confidence in the physicians serving my family.

My Healthcare Practice

My medical training took me to many rural areas, and I was able to do full scope family practice, from delivering babies to geriatric care. I chose primary care because I want the opportunity to care for several generations of a family and witness the family dynamics. As a family practice physician, I also value the emphasis Kaiser Permanente places on the development of strong relationships between members and their primary care physicians.

My Outside Interests

Away from the office, I enjoy gourmet cooking, but most importantly, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and two young children.

Be sure to visit the New Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes, and other health related topics.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
