About Me

I was born in South India and migrated to the United States when I was 15 years old. My older brother was in Medical School at the time. Reading his books and watching him at work increased my interest for the medical profession. I developed an interest in Anesthesiology early in medical school since I loved Pharmacology and Physiology. During my Anesthesia Residency, I enjoyed doing Pediatric Anesthesia the most so I decided to pursue a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology. It is extremely rewarding to take care of children.

I am married and have two children. My daughter wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. In my spare time I love to travel, go camping and make jewelry. A few friends of mine and I started making jewelry as a hobby to relieve the stress from work. We host small parties during the Christmas Holidays for our friends where we sell some of our creations. It has been a lot of fun.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
