My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a hospitalist with the department of Medicine. I chose internal medicine because I am able to treat a variety of complex diseases within adults.

My Credentials

Medical school University of Gujarat, Ahmedabad, India
Residency Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

My Practice Philosophy

My personal philosophy is to treat each patient as an individual and focus on them. I also value compassion, communication and educating my patients.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I have been enjoying working for Kaiser Permanente since 2005.

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser

I like practicing at Kaiser because it allows me the freedom to focus on my time and energy entirely on my patients rather than the business aspect. I also have accessibility to other colleagues in various different departments if the need arises. In order to take better care of my patients Kaiser has many educational advancement opportunities to keep me updated.

My Professional Interests and Affiliations

I am a member of the American College of Physicians

On a Personal Note…

I was born and raised in India and moved to the United States after medical school for further training. I completed my residency in Internal Medicine in New York in 2005. My wife and I had lived in Sacramento prior to our move to New York and so, decided to move back HOME when I was done with residency. In my spare time I enjoy sports, technology and spending time with my family.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
