My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a Family Medicine physician. This specialty provides care from teenagers to senior citizens. It includes prevention, diagnosis, and care of short time or long time illnesses. Family medicine also provides for dealing with a wide range of medical problems including acute illnesses, chronic medical problems or combinations of different problems.

My Practice Philosophy

I am very comfortable in writing prescriptions based on my observation, x-ray reports and clinical/lab test results. I do not mind spending extra hours for my patients when it is necessary. I also do not hesitate to discuss with my colleagues, and can ask for help when I need it. I always keep my eyes open to finding new technology that might be useful treatments for my patients.

My Credentials

Medical school University of Rajshahi School of Medicine, Rajshahi, Bangladesh
Residency Charles R Drew University of Medicine and Science, Los Angeles, CA
Board certification Family Medicine, American Board of Family Medicine

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

When I was doing my residency at King/Drew University of Medicine & Science, Los Angeles, California, I was interested in finding a position in northern California with Kaiser Permanente. By joining with Kaiser Permanente in Davis, I feel like I am at home. I am able to both spend time with my family as well as provide quality care for my patients.

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

I am pleased to be a part of Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. I like practicing medicine at Kaiser Permanente because I have the freedom to practice medicine the way I want to - no one tells me what I can or cannot do. At the same time, I really value the availability of helpful information I can get from my large group of colleagues. Kaiser Permanente has excellent educational opportunities, information technology, research opportunities, a fundamentally ethical approach, evidence-based practices, helpful staff, leadership by physicians, close cooperation with its hospitals, attention to quality, prevention, close cooperation among physicians, and uses a team approach.

My Professional Interests and Affiliations

On a Personal Note…

I was born in Bangladesh and have been living in the United States since 1990. I spent some time in Alabama and Florida. I have been living in California since 1996. I am married with two children. My son is older than my daughter. I spend my free time traveling with them for fun and sometimes for fishing.
