WELCOME

Thank you for your interest in visiting my home page. I hope through this media, you can learn more about me and also learn more about Endocrinology. The field of Endocrinology includes diabetes, thyroid disease, calcium and bone disorders, lipid disorders, adrenal diseases, pituitary disease, and some ovarian and testicular diseases.

About Me

I was born and raised in Southern Philippines. My mom, who is a physician was a great inspiration for me to pursue Medicine as a career. Because of the political instability in the Philippines, my family immigrated to the United States.

I received my medical degree from Rizal Medical Center, Metro Manila, Philippines. My residency and fellowship training was completed at Charles Drew University/ University of California Los Angeles, in Los Angeles, CA. My background includes Androgen/ Testosterone supplementation research.

I chose Endocrinology as a specialty because I believe this is the area of Internal Medicine where my services will be utilized well. I also have special interests in helping patients with Endocrine related disorders including Diabetes, Thyroid, Pituitary and Adrenal Disease.

I joined Kaiser Permanente as it has an impressive reputation as a leader in health care and the use of evidenced based practice of medicine.

When I am not working, I enjoy being with my daughter as well as reading, cooking and traveling.

My Philosophy of Care

I see myself as a patient advocate and believe that patient care should always be the first priority. I hope to be able to assist you with the best care possible by combining the art and science of health care delivery.

Your comments and suggestions are always welcome, and I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
