Have questions about your medications?

Welcome to my practice. I am pleased to have this opportunity to participate in your healthcare and thought you might be interested in learning more about me and my background.

My Profession

I am a family practitioner who decided to go into this specialty so that I could treat all members of a family. I enjoy getting to know all aspects of my patients including their medical background as well as their social aspects. The diversity in family medicine allows me to take care of a wide variety of diagnosis from diabetes to skin rashes. The most satisfying part of my job is making a difference in patients' lives.

My Practice Philosophy

I believe that you need open and clear communication to have a good doctor-patient relationship. This is the only way to provide excellent healthcare in a compassionate manner. I value my patients and want to get to know them so that I can give them the best care that I possibly can.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to discuss them with me or my medical assistant, Phyllis Holmquist

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I have been with Kaiser since 1995 when I started my residency in southern California. After my residency, I remained on staff at Kaiser Permanente for two years. I transferred to Sacramento in August 2000. I am currently practicing at the Folsom facility and work with an excellent group of physicians and other health care providers. I plan on staying here indefinitely.

My Credentials

Medical school Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Loma Linda, CA
Internship Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Riverside, CA
Residency Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Riverside, CA
Board certification Family Medicine, American Board of Family Medicine

Receiving Your Healthcare From Kaiser Permanente

I believe Kaiser Permanente offers its members a comprehensive approach to medicine and to its physicians, the ability to successfully balance work and family. I also feel fortunate to have the opportunity to experience and participate in the camaraderie which exists between the staff and physicians here.

My Personal History

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy traveling, outdoor activities and spending time with friends. We are happy to live in the Sacramento area because it is family-oriented and there are a number of outdoor activities in the area.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
