ABOUT ME
Thank you for visiting my website and choosing me as your primary care physician. I hope to meet all of your expectations and health care needs as well as include you in the decision-making process. I am personable, professional, focused, considerate, and concerned with your emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being.
I am a native of Oakland, California and have lived in the Bay Area all of my life. I am of African-American and Chinese descent and joined the Kaiser Permanente staff in 2002. I received my undergraduate degree in Integrative Biology at the University of California, at Berkeley, and completed my medical school training at the University of California, San Diego. I completed my residency training at Kaiser Permanente Oakland where I served as Chief Resident during the 2001-2002 academic year.
WHY DID I CHOSE KAISER PERMANENTE--OAKLAND?
Since my teenage years, I have always aspired to work at Kaiser Oakland. I was born on the 4th floor of this facility and have been associated with Kaiser my entire life. As such, I have familiarity with Kaiser as a patient, consumer, and physician. I understand how to navigate through its tremendous resources to optimize your care. Kaiser has always maintained a solid reputation and remains at the forefront in health care today. It is committed to quality care, internet-based medicine, and comprehensive health care.
WORDS OF WISDOM...
Your health is infinitely more important than money or career. Health cannot be accumulated or replaced. I encourage low-calorie diets and avid exercise. Always educate yourself regarding your health. Yoga, massage, self-enhancement classes, stress reduction, frequent travel, and outdoor activities should be a routine part of one's lifestyle. List the top 5 things you enjoy and do them regularly. Listen to your spouse, plan for the future, and utilize everything in moderation. You will be fine if you do all these things.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
As a young physician, I look forward to every encounter. My patients are invaluable to me, and building long-term relationships over the next 30 years is my ultimate goal. Oakland's population and cultural diversity are truly unique. I have built many friendships and a loyal panel over the last few years. I look forward to serving you in the near future.
Be sure to visit the Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information concerning online booking, prescription refills, health education classes, and other pertinent medical topics.
