Welcome To My Home Page

I am Lisa Wang, M.D., a psychiatrist at the Folsom Mental Health Department. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1999 and I look forward to a long future with my patients here. Initially, I was drawn to this organization because Kaiser Permanente is non-profit, and because here I can work in a medical group where I am granted the freedom to practice medicine that is true to my ideals and in the best interest of my patients. Beyond that, however, I have come to appreciate that working with such a well-established and solid medical group has provided many resources I would not have elsewhere, including the opportunity to collaborate with skilled colleagues from numerous other departments. As a Kaiser Permanente physician, I am well supported by caring and professional staff, so that I can focus on my primary responsibility – your health.

My Practice philosophy is simple: I am neither your parent nor your supervisor, but rather your advisor. I believe in partnership. I want to provide you with the most current information and help you to arrive at the best decisions for your growth and continued health.

When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Be sure to visit the New Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
