About Me:

I was born and raised in the Bay Area and love its liberal and diverse culture. I completed my MD and Masters in Public Health at the University of Utah, with a focus in international public health. I chose Kaiser Oakland because of the diverse patient population, the wonderful learning environment and the supportive staff, and so far I have been impressed with all three! I welcome patients from all backgrounds and have previous experience with teens and adolescents. I enjoy talking about preventative medicine to empower women to incorporate healthy lifestyle into their daily routine.

In my free time I love traveling and experiencing other cultures and traditions, especially learning about traditional methods of healing, which have taken me all over the world. I also enjoy everything to do with the ocean, especially scuba diving!

Why I chose Ob/Gyn:

I came to medicine with the hope that I could help communities become stronger by making them healthier through public health. This has included healthier and safer pregnancies through the field of obstetrics and being able to assist women with their primary care needs at every stage of their life in gynecology. I feel that I chose a wonderful and dynamic profession that will allow me to help communities to grow and prosper in all areas of the world.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
