Welcome to My Home Page

Thank you for visiting my home page!

I was born and raised in Santa Cruz County. As a child and teen I loved sports, I wanted to try each one. As and adult, I still love trying new activities, I especially enjoy running, tennis and snowboarding. I earned my undergraduate degree in Economics with a minor in Latin American Studies at UC Santa Barbara. After school I went to work in San Francisco as a marketing analyst. It was here that I found that I am not a desk person- I needed to be moving around, interacting with people. I met a physical therapist while I was training for my first marathon with Team In Training and decided, "That is the career for me!". Four years of school later, I am happily practicing in the Antioch outpatient physical therapy department.

I enjoy being a physical therapist because I like working with people and am faced with a new challenge each day. Every day, each patient I see is different and has unique needs. I am invested in their treatment and want to see them return the things that are most important to them. I examine people as a whole, not just a shoulder or knee and want to help people participate in active and healthy lifestyles. I want to make sure that patients understand that they play an integral role in their treatment and help them to achieve and maintain good health.

I like working for Kaiser Permanente because there is such a large, supportive network for providing care. I also like my job because of the patients and co-workers I interact with everyday; they make my work enjoyable and fulfilling.

My clinical experiences are in orthopedics and neurological physical therapy.

In addition to English, I also speak Spanish competently.

Graduate EducationDoctorate in Physical Therapy, University of the Pacific
