Education: UC Berkeley, 1966 (BA, Social Welfare); St. Mary's, CA, 1984 (BSN); Yale University, New Haven, CT, 1986 (MSN)
Joined Kaiser in: 1988
Special Clinical Interests: NCC Menopause Clinician

Nursing is my second career. I worked with disabled adults and in children's services as a social worker for 13 years prior to acting on my interest in women's health. After returning to school to obtain my formal nursing education, I joined Kaiser in 1988. I enjoy working in an urban facility because it allows me the opportunity to work with women of all ages. I have taught the Midlife/Menopause class for many years. I also precept nursing students from several Bay Area colleges. I am a member of the Nurse Practitioner Professional Performance Committee working to enhance patient care and safety.

I am a native Californian. I attended UC Berkeley and graduated with a BA in Social Welfare in 1966. I returned to school at Merritt Hospital/St. Mary's College and graduated with a BSN in 1984. I received my MSN in Maternal-Newborn Nursing from Yale University in 1986. I returned to my beloved Bay Area at that time and have practiced as an NP.

In my leisure time, I enjoy walking and hiking locally. I've taken a number of hiking vacations in other states and countries as well--what a great way to see the World!!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
