I am a native Californian, born in Los Gatos, and I have been a Kaiser member since the age of 13! I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education from the University of California at Berkeley in 1987 and graduated with distinction in 1991 from Boston University, with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy.

I joined the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in December 1991 as an inpatient physical therapist but moved to the outpatient clinic in 1992. Since then I have worked as a Senior Physical Therapist, managing patients both individually and through group intervention. My interests within physical therapy are in orthopedic manual therapy, patient education and home exercise prescription. I am a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and I am board certified to practice Physical Therapy in California.

Physical therapy has been an integral part of my life since injuring both of my knees playing sports in college. I feel that my personal experience with injury and rehabilitation has made me a better physical therapist. I believe my strengths lie in my ability to empathize, to actively listen to your needs, and to motivate you to achieve your personal goals.

Outside of physical therapy, I am an avid mountain biker. I also enjoy swimming, pottery, cartooning, and camping in the High Sierras.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
