About Me

I am originally from Illinois, and I grew up in a suburb of Chicago. I attended the University of Illinois in Champaign and returned to Chicago for medical school and residency. Although I love Chicago (minus the winters) and I miss my parents, I met a very special Californian during medical school, and I happily followed him to California. My husband, Mike Kezmoh, is also an Obstetrician Gynecologist. He works at the Roseville facility in Women's health. Prior to moving to the Sacramento area, we spent some time in Dayton, Ohio where he completed his commitment to the U.S. Air Force.

While in Ohio, I worked at a lovely private practice with two experienced doctors who helped sharpen my surgical and clinical skills. In Ohio, we spent most of our spare time training and competing in triathlons. Literally on our way to California, we stopped in Florida to compete in the Florida Ironman triathlon. We then put all of our belongings in storage and spent four months exploring Chile, Peru, and Argentina. Once settled in Folsom, we concentrated on starting a family. We have two delightful daughters, Sky and Savannah, who are the joy of our lives. I am an avid runner and spend most of my free time these days running on the trails around Folsom Lake.

My Qualifications

I have been a Kaiser Permanente physician since 2001. I began working in Women's Health in Roseville. When the Folsom facility opened, I had the opportunity to help open a wonderful new office with a terrific group of doctors and nurses.

Prior to working for Kaiser, I worked in a small group private practice in Ohio. I loved the people I worked with and my practice there, but I have found that working for Kaiser has been incredibly rewarding. When I am at work, I am able to devote the majority of my time to my patients, and I am able to concentrate on just being a doctor instead of worrying about running a business. As a member of a large multi-specialty group, I have continued to grow and learn as a doctor. I also love working for Kaiser because I have two children, and it offers me a flexible lifestyle and schedule.

I am very interested in health care of women at various stages in their lives. I enjoy helping women have healthy pregnancies and safe deliveries. I find the changes associated with menopause challenging and interesting. I also enjoy taking care of female athletes and the unique gynecologic issues that they encounter.

I am a member of the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP).

My Credentials

Medical school Rush University Rush Medical College, Chicago, IL
Internship University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, IL
Residency University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, IL
Board certification Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

My Healthcare Practice

I am an Obstetrican Gynecologist. This means that I take care of women throughout their lives. I chose this specialty because I enjoy forming relationships with my patients and taking care of them during various events in their lifetimes including when they are well. I enjoy both the medical and surgical aspects of my specialty.

As a physician, I feel that it is important to be a partner with my patients with the mutual goal of long term health. As an obstetrician gynecologist, I often see patients at times of crisis in their lives. I like to think that I work with them to create a care plan that is safe, effective, and healthy. During times of health, my focus is on prevention and life long wellness.
