About me

I received my undergraduate degree at UCLA (go Bruins!) and continued my research there while completing a master's in public health degree. After leaving UCLA I worked in research for several years before continuing my education. I studied medicine in Dublin, Ireland at their national school. I then returned to the states and moved to New York city where I did my residency training in internal medicine and pediatrics. Being a Californian, I felt that it was time that I returned to the Golden State after I completed my training. I joined Kaiser Oakland because of its diverse patient population and the Kaiser system's philosophy of an integrated health care delivery system which is similar in some respects to the national health care systems that I was exposed to during my studies in Europe. Kaiser's many public health initiatives and long record of research also factored into my decision given my background and interest in public health research. I believe that the public and the patient is best served by an integrative approach and I look forward to providing with other members of our Oakland facility.

On a personal note, I am a certified car nut. I enjoy working on all types of cars and basically doing anything car related. I also speak Cantonese fluently.

My Credentials

Medical school National University of Ireland School of Medicine, Dublin, Ireland
Residency St Vincent's Hospital - Manhattan, New York, NY

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
