Welcome to My Home Page
About Me:
I was born in Singapore, and I came to the United States in 1970 and lived in New York when I was just starting elementary school. Subsequently, my family and I moved to San Francisco, where I attended school and graduated from Lowell High School. After graduating with an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley (where I met my wife, GO BEARS!), I attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego. My residency and chief residency were at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Oakland.
I am married and have a wonderful wife, daughter, and son. My interests include spending time with my family and friends, traveling, camping, doodling with music, playing video games (I just like to use my son as an excuse!), and watching movies.
I am fluent in Cantonese, and I continue to be active in the Asian community. I have been involved with the Chinese American Physicians Society for many years. I am also a member of the Asian American Club. I also have been involved with the Ethnic Medical Organization Section of the California Medical Association and the Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
