My Qualifications

I received my medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed my residency with Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. I am board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 1976. I have served on the Hospital Utilization Committee for 2 years and the committee for pediatric quality assurance for approximately 6 years. I have been the physician coordinator for the pediatric clinic advice center for about 10 years.

My Healthcare Practice

Through my high school and college years, I was involved in many activities involving children – scouting, summer camp counseling and working with sick children. It was totally natural that I fell in love with pediatrics. One of my professional interests is newborn care. I try my utmost to be an advocate for my patients, which means I try to achieve the optimal care that I feel each individual patient needs. I truly enjoy interacting with both parents and child. Besides English, I speak Mandarin.

Receiving Your Healthcare From Kaiser Permanente

As a physician, it is very comforting to work in a comprehensive, all-inclusive system like Kaiser Permanente that provides all the support I need – medical specialists, nurses, assistants and support staff. Here, I can focus all my attention on my patients.

My Outside Interests

When I’m not working I enjoy hiking, exercising, and traveling. I am actively involved with church.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
