My Practice Philosophy

My health-related philosophy to my patients is “No news is good news”.

My Tenure With Kaiser Permanente

I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1992. I practiced part-time with Oakland and Pleasanton Kaiser from 1994 to 1996. Since then, I have been with Sacramento Kaiser full-time except from 2000 to 2002 when I was at the Kaiser Permanente in Fremont. Over the years, I have come to appreciate the active pursuit of preventative medicine at Kaiser Permanente.

My Credentials

Medical school Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, East Lansing, MI
Residency Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Oakland, CA
Residency Providence Hospital and Medical Center, Southfield, MI
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

Why I Like to Practice Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

The main reasons I like to practice medicine at Kaiser Permanente are because it operates as an integrated system in which everything, including the specialists, are just a phone call away and also, because of the supportive multi-specialty and multi-disciplinary group setting.

My Professional Interests and Affiliations

I am a member of the local chapter of Greater Sacramento Osteopathic Medical Associations and I also regularly attended American Osteopathic Association meetings.

My Personal History

In my spare time, I enjoy cycling and working with computers.

If you haven’t looked through Kaiser Permanente’s website, I highly recommend checking it out. You will find additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
