About Me

For information about my education, training, and credentials, please read the My Credentials section below.

My Healthcare Practice

I am an Internist in Adult Primary Care. I decided to pursue a career in this field because I enjoy the long-term, comprehensive, and personal care I can provide my patients. I also appreciate caring for multiple family members through several generations. I like to get to know my patients as people, not just a list of medical conditions.

My practice is based on open communication and joint decision-making with my patients. I strive to base my recommendations on the latest scientific evidence, but realize that all healthcare decisions must be personalized for each individual patient.

Why I Choose Kaiser Permanente

I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1999. I appreciate the camaraderie and security a large group practice offers. I have been very impressed with the freedom Kaiser allows physicians to practice the medicine we feel is best. In addition, I have enjoyed tremendous educational and professional opportunities that have allowed my practice to continually improve. I am also active in administration, committee work, and resident teaching. I am currently a member of the Volunteer Clinical Faculty at UC Davis Medical School.

My Outside Interests

I have lived in California since 1995. Outside work, I enjoy travel, reading, cooking, and playing piano.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
