About Me

I practice anesthesia. What I do and why I do it are the same. I help patients have a better procedure by administering anesthesia so that they don’t feel or remember it. I believe that patients always come first. I give them the best anesthetic care possible. I have been with TPMG for 24 years. I like practicing at Kaiser Permanente because of the family-like environment. Everyone pulls together to work toward our goals and standards. All of us – physicians, nurses, technicians, office workers, and housekeepers – all of us provide the best care for our members.

I am a member of the California Medical Association, Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association, California Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

I was born in China. I was raised and educated in Myama, Burma and trained as an anesthesiologist in the US. I am married and have a daughter and a son.

Joined Kaiser in: 1980
Other languages: Burmese, Cantonese
Outside interests: reading, sports

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
