Welcome to the Folsom Department of Pediatrics and my practice. I am pleased to have this opportunity to participate in your healthcare and thought you might be interested in learning more about me and my background.

My Qualifications

I received my medical degree from Loma Linda University and completed my internship and residency through the David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base. I practiced pediatrics in the Air Force for 8 years prior to working with a local private practice for 4 years. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2002 with the opening of the Folsom facility. I am a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics.

My Healthcare Practice

I chose pediatrics because I enjoy the challenges of caring for a large range of age groups, interacting with both parents and children, and the fact that kids are strongly motivated to get better. I strongly believe that by providing family education I am able to help parents feel more comfortable caring for their children.

My assistant and I work together to provide your care and respond to your questions and concerns. We look forward to bringing you the best care possible.

Receiving Your Healthcare From Kaiser Permanente

My previous experiences in medicine have guided me to a career with Kaiser Permanente. Working at Kaiser Permanente gives me the opportunity to practice top quality medicine with a preventative focus rather than engaging in business management. I feel that preventative medicine is the key to a healthy, long, and productive life. Kaiser Permanente offers a multitude of preventive health care services permitting me to better care for my patients. Providing top quality medical care is also facilitated by working with a group of dedicated physicians with a common goal. This allows Kaiser Permanente to offer its members comprehensive health care in an environment where preventative care is a top priority.

My Outside Interests

Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children, playing classical guitar, working on home improvements, and flying gliders

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
