Welcome to my home page! I recently started working at Kaiser in adult primary care (internal medicine) and in infectious disease. Last summer I finished a fellowship in Los Angeles and returned to Oakland to live. I have been going between different cities in northern and southern California for several years for various parts of my education and training but I finally decided that I like it best right here in Oakland, where I was raised.

I joined Kaiser after having worked in many different types of medical settings. I like that Kaiser has a thoughtful, organized, and proactive approach to keeping people healthy. I have always believed that people should feel that they have control over their health and control over accessing healthcare. So I like that Kaiser supports this ideal by giving members new ways to contact their physician (secure e-mail), learn about health conditions (a library and classes), and access to their test results on the computer.

When I am not here I can usually be found reading, gardening, or playing with my daughter.

My Credentials

Residency Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA
Fellowship Va Greater Los Angeles Hospital, Los Angeles, CA

Board certification Infectious Disease, American Board of Internal Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
