About Me

Hello, my name is Jeffrey Maebori. I am an optometrist. An optometrist diagnoses vision problems and eye disease, prescribes eyeglasses and contact lenses, and prescribes drugs to treat eye disorders. Prior to my employment with Kaiser Permanente, I worked as an optometrist for an ophthalmologist and also as an active-duty naval officer for the Naval Hospital in San Diego.

Education and Training: OD Degree, UC Berkeley School of Optometry
Joined Kaiser Permanente:2001

About My Practice

I enjoy practicing optometry because it provides me with an opportunity to help people on an individual level. I find it rewarding to work together with my patients to enhance their vision.

I chose to become an optometrist because I realized the importance of the gift of sight early in life having worn glasses since the age of 4. I feel privileged to be able to assist my patients in their quest to improve their vision.

Why I Like Practicing at Kaiser Permanente

One of the advantages of obtaining health care from Kaiser Permanente is the convenience of all the services offered in the same facility. Another benefit is integration of diligent, well-qualified personnel to form a healthcare team that provides the highest level of medical care available.

On Personal Note….

I enjoy watching sports and running. My wife and I have one daughter.

Mission Vision Participant - volunteer for Kaiser-sponsored project which provides visual services for individuals without medical coverage.
