Welcome to my Home Page!

Radiology is the specialty of medicine that is concerned with diagnostic imaging. This refers to any of the tests done in our department (x-ray, ultrasound, CT or MRI) which are used to help in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Radiologists are the physicians who interpret these studies and act as the expert consultants to the physicians who refer patients to us. I enjoy all aspects of radiology and have a special interest in musculoskeletal and body MR imaging.

I am originally from the East Coast. I grew up in New York City and went to medical school and did my residency training there as well. I also spent a year in Philadelphia where I received subspecialty fellowship training in MRI. I made the big move to Northern California in July 2000 when I began working here at Kaiser Oakland and have been very happy with my decision. I really enjoy living in the Bay Area and getting to work with a terrific group of colleagues in this department and at the Oakland Medical Center.

Please refer to the links on the sidebar of this page to learn more about radiology and the exams we perform.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
