My Healthcare Practice

I work approximately half time doing general OB/GYN and half time doing infertility clinic. I love the variety; helping infertility patients get pregnant is challenging and rewarding. I also like the continuity of taking care of women throughout their reproductive lives, taking care of their pregnancies, doing routine care, and helping them through life transitions like menopause. My goal is to help my patients achieve their optimal state of health.

Why I work at Kaiser Permanente

I did my residency at Kaiser San Francisco, then was in private practice for a few years, then worked at Kaiser Hayward for 10 years. In February 2004, I came to Kaiser Sacramento - Point West. I will never go back to private practice. Kaiser allows me to practice my specialty in a very supportive environment, free of outside influences like insurance companies and provides me with all the best subspecialists immediately available.

Professional Interests

About Me

I have been married since October 2003; have a stepdaughter, Jennifer, and one cat. I love challenging myself in the athletic arena. I have done numerous triathlons including Ironman Hawaii, many marathons including the Boston Marathon three times, and several ultra runs (races longer than marathons). I ride my bicycle to work 2-3 times a week. I feel that physical activity helps me to look and feel my best and try to communicate my love of the active lifestyle to my patients. My athletic activities have taken me around the world, brought me many wonderful friends, and to me there is nothing better than the challenge of accomplishing something you didn't think you could do.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
