Despite the routine office hours above, there are many times during the week I am not physically in the office. I am either in the operating room or on call. At these times, please call my medical assistant or the advice number and I can always be found and asked about urgent matters.
How It All Started
My experience with Kaiser began many years ago. The relationship started when I was born at San Francisco Kaiser and continued for the first twenty-two years of my life. In that time, my care included everything from the simple physical for high school sports to minor surgery. I then started medical school at St. George's School of Medicine in Grenada. After two years, I transferred to the George Washington School of Medicine where I obtained my degree. Then I came back to California for my residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. This experience, along with a portion of my training being completed at a Kaiser facility, lead me to be interested in pursuing a career at Kaiser.
My Practice Philosophy
I believe my most important role as a physician and surgeon is to inform the patient about his or her medical/surgical issues then make a decision together regarding the most beneficial treatment.
On the Personal Side of Things
Monday through Friday, on a regular basis, my mornings start off at five am with a two hour visit to the gym.(I would never ask my patients to do something I'm not willing to do myself). Aside from the gym, I spend most of my time with my wife and three kids. My hobbies include gardening, restoring a 1974 MG Midget, jet skiing of the river, and cooking, especially BBQing and smoking meat. I also enjoy dabbling in home improvement.
