About Me

I started my journey in the field of medicine by attending medical school in India. It was my training there that sparked my interest in Women’s Health in rural areas. I started my internship in the field of Family Medicine, and during my obstetrics rotation, I found how much I loved bringing a new life into the world via a natural birth or via an abdominal incision. This led me to change my career path to Ob/Gyn. I then completed a year at MLK/Drew in Southern California and transferred back to my native East Bay and found my home at Oakland Kaiser.

Joining the Kaiser system was a welcome change for me. I believe it is best that one can find everything under one roof, from diagnostic labs to imaging. The environment of diversity and an incredible fund of knowledge from the attending physicians are nurturing for my development as a resident physician.

I thoroughly enjoy seeing and treating women from all different walks of life, from prenatal visits to routine well female follow-ups. In my free time, I love spending time with my lovely daughter. Being a mother myself makes me proud to do what I believe in, and that is to be empathetic towards patients’ needs and try to provide them with the latest and most current treatment needs.

Thank you for checking out my home page and I hope to see you soon.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
