Welcome to my home page!

I am pleased to offer this web site as a means to provide helpful information to patients, as well as an opportunity for you to learn more about me.

I am a California native, moving from Sacramento to Fresno in 1991. My hobbies include gardening, reading, running and kayaking.

I began my registered nursing career with an associate degree from American River College in 1986, followed by a bachelor’s degree from Pacific Union College in 1995. In 2000, I earned a master's degree in nursing (MSN) from the University of California, San Francisco and became a nurse practitioner.

Since 2001, I have enjoyed working as a nurse practitioner in orthopedics. I love my job and am proud of our outstanding team of orthopedic providers here at Kaiser Permanente in Fresno.

I feel strongly about giving you the information you need to make the choices that will allow you to thrive. An active lifestyle is amazingly beneficial to everyone. Our individual lifestyle choices affect our ability to live life to the fullest.

Please use the links on this website for more information. The Healthy Lifestyles programs may be just the motivation you need. I also highly recommend contacting the Health Education Department at (559) 448-4415 for a schedule of classes and for valuable information about classes, such as:

Weight management (ask about our new Weight Watchers affiliation)
Healthier living with ongoing health conditions
Get Moving! A physical activity overview
Balance education/ Balance training
Osteoporosis education /Osteoporosis exercise
Smoking cessation

Your comments and suggestions are always welcome. I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
