Welcome to my home page...

I was born in Hawaii and grew up in a small beach town on the east side of Oahu called Kailua. My first experience with living in California came when I attended the University of California, San Diego, graduating Cum Laude with a degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and with a minor in Music/Oboe Performance. I returned home to Hawaii to attend the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii where I received my medical degree in 1999. I then moved to Phoenix, Arizona and completed my residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.

As much as I enjoyed the beautiful desert sunsets and the warm "dry heat" of Arizona, I am very happy to be in the cooler climate of the Bay Area. I joined Santa Clara/Milpitas Kaiser Permanente in 2004. I enjoy taking care of such a culturally diverse patient population. I am interested in all aspects of women's health, particularly in preventative health and patient education. I feel honored to be able to play a role in many of the major events in the lives of my patients which include childbirth and menopause.

I am currently a member of the California Medical Association, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and the Santa Clara County Medical Association.

When I am not at work I enjoy gardening, skiing, trying new restaurants and experimenting with new recipes (basically, I enjoy eating). Aside from being a full time Ob/Gyn physician, I am also a full time mom. My favorite past time is spending time with my husband, son, and dog, Barkley.

My Credentials

Medical school John A Burns School of Medicine University of Hawaii, Honolulu, HI
Residency Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Phoenix, AZ
Board certification Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
