Welcome to the Folsom Women’s Health Department and my practice. I am pleased to have this opportunity to participate in your healthcare and thought you might be interested in learning more about me and my background.

About Me

I am a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Medical Women’s Association, and the American Medical Association. I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 2001.

My Credentials

Medical school Loyola University, Chicago, IL
Internship Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Santa Clara, CA
Residency Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Santa Clara, CA
Board certification Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

My Healthcare Practice

I chose obstetrics and gynecology because I enjoy working with the female population. OB/GYN gives me the opportunity to do primary care as well as surgery with the added bonus of bringing new life into this world. I believe the patient and physician form a team and share responsibility for maintaining a healthy body, improving health, and ensuring maximum quality of life. I have a special interest in adolescent medicine, and I am committed to offering a friendly, compassionate environment in modern medicine.

In addition to English, I also speak German.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
