Welcome to my web page and thank you for choosing me as your physician. I look forward to a long and healthy partnership working together towards your good health!

ABOUT ME:
I was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area and moved with my family to Southern California in 1980. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and returned again to Philadelphia for medical school at Temple University. I fell in love with the Bay Area during my residency in Internal Medicine at UCSF and now call Oakland home. I have two wonderful children with my domestic partner and we love being parents. I also like to cook, read and spend time with friends and family in my time off.

PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY:
Prior to joining Kaiser, I was in private practice in San Francisco for three years and loved being a primary care doctor. While I enjoy all aspects of General Internal Medicine, my interests are in Women’s Health, Lesbian Health, and chronic disease management. I am also a part of Kaiser’s Young Adult Clinic, serving the health needs of people from ages 18-25. I believe in providing compassionate and excellent care and hope to provide you with the tools and information you need to optimize your health.

My Credentials

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
