Welcome to my home page...

Welcome! I hope my home page will help you get to know me and to understand and view the resources available to assist in your care.

I was raised in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri where I lived with my parents and brother until going to college. The desire for a new environment led me to The Johns Hopkins University where I graduated with honors in Molecular Biology. My studies and volunteer work there reinforced my desire to be a doctor. I then moved to the West Coast to attend medical school at the University of Southern California. As a medical student rotating through the different specialties, I found that I especially enjoyed the whole field of women's health. I then went onto complete my four years of Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at the Los Angeles County – University of Southern California Women's and Children's Hospital. After finishing residency in 2001, I moved to the Bay area and began practicing at Kaiser. I have found it very rewarding developing a full time obstetric and gynecologic practice and caring for our multicultural population.

I speak medical and conversational Spanish.

Unfortunately, despite my very Asian name, I do not speak Mandarin.

My interests outside of work include knitting/crocheting, gardening, and hiking. I also enjoy dining out and going to the beach.

My medical assistant, Sonia, and I look forward to seeing you and helping you with your medical care.

Internship Los Angeles County/University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA
Residency Los Angeles County/University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
