About Your Office Visit

Prevention Information on Your Registration Slip

Thank you for visiting this site. I have been a physician at The Permanente Medical Group since 1995. My first year here was spent in a Sports Medicine fellowship under the direction of Drs. William Cappiello and Warren Scott. Since that first year I have been a staff physician in both the Departments of Internal Medicine and Orthopedics. On my Wednesday afternoons I have the privilege of working with the Sports Medicine team at the University of California.

If you have an appointment with me for musculoskeletal problems, please dress comfortably to expose the area to be evaluated, e.g. sports bras or tanktops for shoulder evaluations and shorts for hip or knee evaluations. This will facilitate our visit more smoothly.

This is a site in development. Please return in the future. I hope to post information about topics that I believe will be of interest to my patients.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
