My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a physical therapist in the Occupational Health Department. This means I help to facilitate a quick recovery from industrial injuries through exercise and hands on care. I decided to do this because I enjoy watching patients learn and improve their overall health after an injury.

My Practice Philosophy

My philosophy with respect to physical therapy is helping people not only recover from their current injury, but to teach them ways to care for themselves in the future. Maintenance over time is the key to reducing future injuries.

My Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Biomechanics UC Davis
Master of Science Exercise Physiology CSU Sacramento
Master of Science Physical Therapy CSU Sacramento

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I have been a happy employee of Kaiser Permanente since 2000. I am also a very satisfied member of Kaiser Permanente as well as my entire family.

Working in the Occupational Medicine Department, I have the time and support to really work with my patients and teach them ways to care for their bodies and lives. I am not rushed and therefore can provide extra time for topics like managing issues at work, ergonomic changes, and proper body mechanics for home as well as work.

On a Personal Note

I enjoy spending time with my family, snow skiing and boating in Tahoe. I also have spent many sessions in Physical Therapy so I am aware of the struggles my patients are going thru. I am very aware of the time and effort it takes to rehabilitate an injury.

Be sure to visit the Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
