I am pleased to offer this web site as a means to provide helpful medical information for my patients, as well as an opportunity for you to learn more about me. After graduating from McGill University in Canada, I obtained a PhD degree in Neurobiology at Iowa State University and then I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at UC San Diego. I studied the brains of snails and fruit flies. Yes, you read that correctly! Believe it or not, they have brains that are very interesting! I decided that I would rather work with people than flies so I returned home to Calgary to attend medical school. After graduating, I came back to sunny California to complete my residency at Mount Zion in San Francisco. I am board certified in Internal Medicine.

I started working at Kaiser in urgent care in 1999 and continued to do so while I worked in a private practice in downtown San Francisco. While I was in private practice, I served on the clinical faculty of UCSF. In 2002, I left the private practice to work solely at Kaiser. I work 3 days a week and that allows me to spend time with my young son. My husband, son, and I love exploring the beautiful Bay Area in our free time.

Preparing for your appointment: Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to allow time for checking in and having your vital signs measured. Preparing a list of your current medications and questions helps guide your appointment. I believe that you and I are a team in managing your health and I am very interested to hear your ideas. I look forward to seeing you!
