My Profession and Why I Chose It
I am a general internist. This means that I take care of health problems for adults. I chose internal medicine because it allows me take care of the whole patient and challenges me to understand the complex interactions between the different systems that makes up the whole person.
I enjoy internal medicine because it allows me to care for my patients and enjoy my relationship with them. I believe in treating my patients the exact way I would treat or care for my family members. Additionally, I will emphasize disease prevention and healthy ways of living. This includes daily exercise and eating a low fat, low cholesterol diet. Please click on the icons to the left to view just a few ways you can learn how to take good care of yourself.
I attended UC Davis for undergraduate education. I then endured the sweltering heat of New Orleans while attending Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine for my Master's
Degree in Environmental Health and Toxicology, I then went on to medical school in Tulane.
