Thank you for visiting my web page! I hope that it will help introduce me to you.

I am an invasive general cardiologist, with clinical interests that include cardiac catheterization, cardiovascular imaging, and pacemakers. I am committed to providing you with the best possible medical care that I can. My greatest satisfaction comes from helping patients through their illnesses, on to better health. Accomplishing these goals is my professional duty and pleasure, which is why I am dedicated to them and to you. My professional background has benefited from training at many different institutions. I was an undergraduate at MIT, attended medical school at Columbia University, and did my internship/residency at the Scripps Green Hospital. My cardiology fellowship was completed at the California Pacific Medical Center, where I was Chief Cardiology Fellow.

I chose cardiology as a career for multiple reasons. Cardiology has provided me with opportunities to make a big difference in people’s lives by dealing with serious and often life-threatening illnesses. It is also one of the most dynamic and exciting fields in medicine today, driven by continuing advances in patient care. Cardiology is also a very diverse field, covering many different diseases, which are managed in a variety of settings and ways. For me, it is the most interesting field in medicine.

One outlet for my intellectual interest has been research. Recently, my research has centered on database/registry analyses of cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary intervention. I have been able to publish and present some of my work at international cardiology meetings such as the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology annual sessions.

In addition to my other professional accomplishments, I am a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSF.

Outside of work, I read medical journals to stay up-to-date, and go to the gym to stay fit. I also enjoy the symphony, opera, sports, and film. I encourage you to follow a healthy lifestyle, and look forward to seeing you at your next visit.
