My Specialty and Why I Chose It

Primary Care Medicine offers variety and continuity of care in an outpatient setting. It is certainly very dynamic and exciting.

My Practice Philosophy

Implementing and promoting clinical excellence in providing compassionate care by focusing on evidence-based and preventive medicine.

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

I truly value working at Kaiser Permanente where there is opportunity to enjoy being part of a strong health care network. Attention to the quality of care, helpful staff, efficient information technology, strong referral system along with close cooperation with hospital, and leadership by physician are the highlights.

Professional Interests & Affiliations

As a physician, my interests include outpatient adult medicine and office-based surgical procedures as well as preventive measures. From healthcare standpoint, I am also very interested in a career in areas of healthcare executive administration to direct organizational and financial management functions.

On a Personal Note

I was born and raised in Isfahan, Iran where I attended medical school at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. I practiced Primary Care Medicine for about 4 years in Iran and after moving to the United States, first I completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford University. Then, I completed my residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota (Department of Surgery) and University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California (Department of Family and Community Medicine).

Be sure to visit the Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
