To facilitate communication, I would like to share with you some information about myself.

I grew up in Saigon, Vietnam until 1975 when my family, and I emigrated to the United States. Since then, I spent most of my time in the Bay Area. After graduating from Stanford University with a M.S.E.E. degree (Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering), I worked as a computer engineer for six years before entering medical school at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.

After completing my residency in the Internal Medicine, Primary Care, program at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, I joined The Permanente Medical Group (at Milpitas) in July of 1999. I am a member of the American College of Physicians. I am fluent in Vietnamese.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our son and daughter. Our ten year old son Calvin is currently in fifth grade. Besides his regular school work, he is having fun learning about computer multimedia in the after school program. Outside of school, he continues to enjoy painting (Calvin's Art Gallery). He also likes to play piano and tennis as well as continuing his strong interest in anything relating to the military. Our daughter Cailin has finally joined her brother at his school as a pre-kindergartener. From day one at the "big" school she has been a favorite among all of the teachers due to her outgoing manner. She continues to collect stuff animals, especially cats.
