About Me

Thank you for viewing my home page. I see this page as a nice way to introduce myself to my patients and provide some health care resources I believe to be useful to my patients.

I was born in China. I did my internal medicine residence training in New York and my nephrology fellowship training in Los Angeles. In addition to my clinical training, I have done some research work at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and published many papers in the kidney transplant field and other related fields. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2000.

I am specialized in nephrology and treat various kidney diseases. There are many new developments in the nephrology field and I try my best to provide the best treatment to your kidney disease. Hopefully, your kidney disease can be stabilized and in some cases, cured. This can potentially free patients from dialysis and transplant. I am committed to ensure your needs are met by our excellent staff and myself.

I am married and have three children. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer and baseball with my sons and softball with my daughter. In winter season, I frequently go skiing with my family.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
