About Me

After I spent time in cancer research, working towards a Master's degree in Biology, I realized that I needed greater interaction with people. I considered teaching at the college level, but my desire to help people in a more personal way gave greater appeal to the profession of medicine.

Why I Became a Podiatrist

Looking at the different specialties and a desire to maintain a family life, raising two children, the specialty needed to provide the necessary time. Spending a great deal of my time involved in sports with children, and the enjoyment of working with all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics, podiatry was a natural choice.

Why I Like Working at Kaiser Permanente

Starting in private practice in Marin, it soon became apparent that this was not meeting my criteria for time. After becoming too busy, and not having someone that I felt comfortable sharing call, Kaiser Permanente provided the best way to practice medicine. Kaiser had the immediate competent referral base, the trusted and well trained doctors to cover my patients when I spent time with my family and allowing me to practice medicine without business head aches of private practice. The time spent while practicing was spent with the important matter of treating my Patients.

My Interests Outside of Kaiser Permanente

Personal interests are family, walking, hiking, swimming, traveling, history and reading.
